100 W Racine St
Janesville, WI

Time: 12:30-3:30p
Cost: $58
Come join us for an Integrative Yoga Therapy experience to clear the cobwebs of the Mind chatter (vrittis) and to stoke the healing process from within.
What to expect: A RESTorative Hatha Yoga mat practice will be introduced, practiced and explored. Each student will be given a blank Body Map to journal their findings on. Journaling offers the practitioner a doorway for the body and mind to fully walk through, release and let go.
Lying in Shavasana (Resting/Corpse Pose) is all that is required; however an asana (yoga pose), mudra (hand seal/gesture) and information on each Chakra (wheels of energy) will be introduced, shared and explored for those who want to experience the deeper energetics of an Integrative Yoga Therapy practice for well-being. Each Chakra offers insight as to where blockages may be stored.
Students will be gifted their 'Body Map' to take home with them to hang in their practice space in order to continue the process of healing through journaling.
Past students have shared experiences of profound growth by attending.
Come with an Open Mind and Leave with an Open Spirit
All Levels Welcomed.

Yoga for the 5 Great Elements (Pancha Maha Bhutas)
Date: Sunday, December 17th
Location: Good JuJu Mind Body Studio
2 S. Park Ave.
3rd Floor
Lombard, IL

Time: 1-4pm
Cost: $58
Everything in nature is made up of five great elements (Pancha Maha Bhutas): earth, water, fire, air, and space. Knowledge of the five elements allows the yogi to understand the laws of nature and to use yoga to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness. This arises out of deep intuition in how the universe operates.
One of the best ways of doing this is to learn the natural order of the elements in the body. Maintaining awareness of this when we practice asana, pranayama, mudra and meditation aids the proper distribution of the energy into the elements. As the Prana moves up and down in the body, we awaken certain parts of the body with consciousness and energy; and that, in turn, coaxes the elements into balance.
What to Expect: Come learn an Integrated Yoga Therapy Practice designed to Quiet the Noise to bring about a state of Emotional Well-Being to release stress, anxiety, overwhelm and depression.
Share in a short lecture on the Pancha Maha Bhutas and then a Mindfully Active class with prop-use modifications and variations for All Levels. Mini-Hatha mat sequences for each Element with use of asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork), bija (seed) mantras and mudras (hand seals/gestures) will be taught, practiced and explored; with class culminating into a complete and creative full-spectrum Integrative Yoga Therapy Practice. Shavasana will seal off the Practice and be welcomed like a warm hug from an old friend.
Students must be able to get up and down off the floor by themselves with ease. Bring your own mat and a journal to write in.
Come with an Open Mind and Leave with an Open Spirit
All Levels Welcomed.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
SUP+Yoga Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP)+ Yoga offers the student the ability to challenge themselves while learning how to paddleboard and then practicing Yoga on a paddleboard. The student will learn proper paddle techniques both on shore and in the water to ensure safety. We will then practice on the board what was taught before anchoring to experience a nature-infused yoga session on the open water. At the end of the Practice, free time will be offered for students to practice more of what they enjoyed before paddling back to shore.
SUP 101 will offer the student the ability to learn proper Stand Up Paddleboard techniques. The goal is for the student to learn how to safely paddle so they can feel confident enough to paddle on their own on any body of water. The A stroke, C stroke, how to turn and stop, how to get back on your board if you fall off and how to use your paddle correctly will all be introduced and practiced both on land and in the water. Each student will learn about their equipment and how to lift and transport with safety in mind, too. We will then take those lessons learned and apply them while having fun during a 'touring' on the waterfront.
WHAT TO BRING? You will get wet. Wear swim shoes. Dry bag if you are bringing anything of importance onto the board with you. Clothing that is dry wicking. Hips must be covered. A water bottle in a sealed container if you want to bungee to your board. Keep everything else in the car. A towel to dry off after class. Most all of my locations have a restroom to change out of your wet clothes after. Check with instructor. Optional: hat, sunscreen, bug spray
